if there were a ya degree, though, that would be sick in a totally different way. I would even be jealous.

i would die of joy. my thesis would have to be in vampire fiction.

oh, god, but please tell me it would not include anything from twilight. haaaaaaaaate.

it would have to! twilight is now part of the vampire ya category. but i would definitely have a section devoted to the pros and cons of it.

I think my levels of hate would be lower if it weren't for the fact that everyone is stupid for that series. and I just. don't. get. it.

well, i liked it. a lot. enough to re-read and buy the sequels. but that's besides the point. the fandom is out of control. but i am so thankful for what it is doing with my teens.

I only read the first one. My problem really is more with the fandom than the book (but I still like vampire diaries better).

and the movie... blegh.

but I'm sick of fandom in general atm. which is weird, but also so so true.

well, yeah. vampire diaries has stronger characters overall.

i'm excited for the movie. it'll be interesting to see. and my teens want to field trip it. that is so cute.

i feel like it cancels out the fact that i spoke to my parents while they were at my brother's house today and couldn't even be bothered to tell them to give him the phone so i could wish him a happy birthday.

yeah, but they had off classes so he was probably with his friends / at a memorial all day. if it was the other way around, i wouldn't have really wanted to talk to him.
