So momebie is kind of evil, and keeps posting Jefferson/August things, which is so easy to love, because I love Jefferson a lot. Because, you know, I have a thing for angsty boys, I can't help it! And also because I really love this show, but until this ship I wasn't sure I could fandom it hardcore... I love Rumple, and I like Rumble/Belle, but it's not something I would fandom. I love Regina, but all the people shipping her with Emma are a little bit crazy, okay? And I like Snow and James, but oh my GOD does David piss me off, and also I like them in the context of the show, but probably not so much as something I would fandom, so WHATEVER.

So I was thinking about Jefferson/August tonight at work (like you do, when you hate work and are giving in to the inevitable) and I was thinking about how it's hot and all when they're together, and I like the ship and all, but man, I also really like the idea of Jefferson just kind of adding August in as more angst to his life as one more thing he can't have or whatever, because you know HE NEEDS MORE OF THAT, and also because I also really like the August/Bae stuff that momebie has written, and then I had to stop thinking about it because I am not writing and arghhhh.

(also why the fuck can I not find any good Jefferson icons, I will have to do some more hardcore searching later.)

This of course led me to thinking about Remus and Sirius, because that ALWAYS HAPPENS, because they will never stop being my home in fandom, and how I was drafting a fic for them in my head the other night, and considering actually writing it for once, and somehow this led me to thinking about next gen and I don't know how the fuck THAT happened, and then I had this crazy idea for a next gen fic, but I DO NOT WRITE NEXT GEN, and I know nothing about the typical next gen anything because I have never read or dabbled or whatever in next gen at all, and yet I still kind of want to write this stupid thing, and WHAT IS MY LIFE, YOU GUYS.

But more on the Remus/Sirius fic, because that is the most likely to happen: I kind of want to make it a 5 Times fic, because I like 5 Times/Things fics in general, and also because I think it would work well as one, except that I would have to figure out a fifth 'time' because I only have 4 right now, but ALSO I feel like it would be lazy to write it in that format in this particular case, and I should probably try to actually frame a story together, but I do like being lazy in general, and I just don't knoooooow.

Also, if you can't tell, I am very ramble-y and not completely coherent just at the moment, so I should probably wait to write ANYTHING until I can string sentences together properly again, but you know, whatever. These things are eating my brain and this has not happened in a while, and I KIND OF LIKE IT.

I am such a mix of things right now.

1) I loved the last Harry Potter movie. I cried through most of it, and I am not ashamed. It made me feel a lot of ~feelings~ and I really want to post on it more, but I am distracted and also I want to see it again to process it a bit more.

2) imthelobster and I got a new kitten, who is absolutely, ridiculously adorable. I love him to much. I need to post pics at some point, I suppose.

3) And the bad thing, the thing which is dampening the two good things above by quite a bit: one of my friends is in the hospital right now, and her condition is pretty bad. Since I've known her she's always had a lot of health issues (she's ex-military and was disabled during her time with the Navy, among other things) but she got suddenly WAY worse. They don't know what happened to her for sure -- it could have been an accidental drug overdose (she's on a LOT of prescription meds) or it's even possible she had a stroke. She's not coherent right now really at all, and there's not an answer yet on whether or not she's going to get better. I'm just really, really worried.

My Christmas was really good. A little weird, since imthelobster is up north visiting family, but I did my thing with my dad and stepmom on Christmas Eve, and then had Christmas morning with my mom. The food is almost the best part, haha. On Christmas Eve we always do a fondue, which is all kinds of excellent, and my dad made twice-baked sweet potatoes to go with it this year, which were amazing. And then for breakfast Christmas morning, my mom did biscuits and sausage gravy, mmm... and then we had a more 'traditional' Christmas dinner (turkey and all the fixings)... and of course I came home with tons of homemade baked goods, courtesy of both my mom and stepmom. No wonder I'm so fat ;)

I didn't ask for very much this year, so I got everything I asked for, which was good... the one thing I'm excited about, though, is something I didn't even think to ask for: money to buy seasonal passes to Universal!!! Apparently I mentioned on Thanksgiving that I hadn't been to see Hogsmeade yet, which is a TRAGEDY, and my stepmom remembered and gave us the money for both imthelobster and I :D :D :D We've decided not to spring the extra for the annual pass, I think we're both happy just to be able to have the seasonal.

And also: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! to both imthelobster and dragonmountborn :D :D

So. I've always loved James and Lily. canon OTPs ftw! and all that.

I have a newfound love for them.

I have a lot of thoughts on the recent lj drama, and a lot of them probably not what most people would expect, but mostly I'm sick of reading about (so why I'm saying something, I don't know.)

pornish_pixies is back! I had taken it off of my flist a while ago, but I now feel this overwhelming need to go and reread some of the stuff I used to love. So I think I'm going to. :D

OMG so. I got my time off request approved today... meaning that I'm going up to NJ to meet up with barbed_whispers and drive back down with her at which point she will be LIVING HERE. Work has been fucking CRAZY this week. Just... insane, I don't even know. It feels like we've been behind all week, and I've had to stay late pretty much every day... which means I'll get to leave early tomorrow and/or Saturday, though, so I guess that's good? On Sunday, though, I have to go in at FIVE AM. Ugh. Uuuugh.
OH OH BUT. I got randomly happy, because one of the AP (Assets Protection) guys has been going around quizzing everyone on safeness vs. safety, since we're going to be having a HUGE visit soon (the VP of the company for AP, wtf) and they'll be going around asking people... so when I answered his questions he was like "Do you know you're the first person out of about a HUNDRED that I've asked that hit all the main points on the first try? Thank you. Just... thank you." And I was like, YEAH I KIND OF WIN. heh.
