i read some more of the golden compass, i am even more excited for friday than i was five minutes ago cos i just talked to someone who went to one of doughty's shows LAST weekend, and uh, i don't know. what's new with you?
i had a very shitty day. in which, i basically found out that i am not allowed to have a life.
there is a rather large rant and reason behind this, but my personal days? have to be cleared two weeks in advance. despite the fact that i told my boss about this day when i bought the damn tickets for rent.
and to go to ala (which is the american library association conference), my mom's library? where she is a library board member (so not even a librarian) is paying for her to attend in full and i don't get any money to go AND i can only take two days off for the WEEK LONG conference and everything else has to be vacation days.
exactly! pathetically, i think i might even prefer a JON in real life to a george. (a george to my alanna, not a george in general. george as a friend would be fab.)
